2026 Student Application Form for Membership
Fifty (50) years of practice or more – any member of the Association who has been licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of Ohio for 50 years or more or is retired from the judiciary of Medina County and not practicing law full time shall be a life member and your membership is complementary. However, please return the completed form so we can keep our membership records up to date.
Retired member – a person who after being a licensed attorney for 30 or more years and whose license to practice law has been designated as inactive due to the lawyer’s retirement, may be a member of the Bar Association upon payment of the annual fee.
Student member – Medina County resident law students who have completed at least one year of law school and are currently enrolled in law school, may join the Bar Association, upon application, for no annual fee. Student members will be non-voting members and may not serve as an Officer or Chairperson of any committee. Student members may attend meetings, continuing education, and other events at the discounted member’s rate. Students may join one or more of the following committees: New Lawyer, Real Estate, Domestic Relations, Probate & Estate Planning, Bankruptcy and Federal Courts, Juvenile, and Criminal Defense. Student members have a separate application to join the MCBA. If you are a student looking to join the MCBA, please reach out to ghotchkiss@medinacounty.gov to obtain the proper application.
